The camping & caravan park is located in a quiet area on the edge of Bedale, and is well maintained with an excellent seperate access.
A short 10 minute stroll will bring you into Bedale town centre, which provides a variety of shops, pubs & restaurants. Whether you are looking for a relaxed stroll or a day out with the kids, there is plenty to do.
There is a local railway that goes through Leyburn, and right up to Redmire, close to Bolton Castle.
Within the surrounding area, we also have Snape Castle and the Thorpe Perrow Arboretum.
Going through West Tanfield, you will arrive at the historic town of Ripon, with its own beautiful Cathedral and Town Crier.
Also close by is Thirsk, the home of James Herriot, the world-famous vet.
Northallerton is also within close reach, a thriving, bustling market town with lots of independent shops.
Up into Wensleydale, it’s worthwhile stopping to take in the breathtaking scenery whilst on your way up into Leyburn and Hawes, two real Yorkshire towns. Chat to the folk here – they are really friendly!
Through Catterick onto Richmond, you will stumble across the River Swale and the amazing Richmond Castle, and a lovely cobbled market square with vibrant pubs & cafes.
Not to be forgotten, a 10 minute drive through lovely country lanes will bring you down into Masham. As you approach, you can see the spire of St. Mary’s Church, then as you go over the bridge, you will see the Black Sheep Brewery on your right. The bistro and bar here are not to be missed, along with the great brewery tours.
Masham is also home to the annual Sheep Fair in the market square, the Traction Engine Rally, lots of pubs and also its second brewery, Theakstons, who also provide brewery tours.
